Assistant Credit Controller

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Credit Controller to join our City Management team. The role involves managing credit risk, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and supporting budgeting and expenditure tracking within the real‑estate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable, issue invoices promptly and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Monitor debtor accounts, maintain up‑to‑date collection records and prepare regular aged‑debtor and cash‑flow reports.
• Propose and enforce reasonable payment plans, coordinating with City Management, procurement, finance, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Foster positive client relationships through regular physical and virtual meetings, handling queries and complaints efficiently.
• Assist in preparing, consolidating and reviewing departmental and company‑wide budgets, tracking actual spend against forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in credit control and budgeting, preferably in real‑estate, property management or construction.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment; professional certification (CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
