Assistant Field Sales Manager

About the role

Solar Panda, a fast‑growing clean‑tech company delivering home solar solutions in Kenya, is looking for an Assistant Field Sales Manager. You will work closely with the Field Sales Manager to help meet sales targets in your assigned area, supporting a network of commission‑based field agents who bring electricity to underserved households.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Field Sales Manager in achieving regional sales goals.
• Recruit, onboard and train new field agents.
• Accompany agents on field visits, offering coaching, support and performance feedback.
• Monitor market dynamics, customer behavior, product demand and competitor activity, and report insights to management.
• Identify new sales opportunities and contribute to lead‑generation strategies.
• Collaborate with the sales team to design and roll out local sales initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in sales or micro‑finance, preferably in rural settings.
• Experience supporting or managing sales teams is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to plan, strategize and act to achieve defined outcomes.
• Diploma in a relevant field is a plus.
