Assistant Project Coordinator – Security & ICT Projects

About the role

The Assistant Project Coordinator will support the delivery of security and ICT installation projects in Nairobi. You will translate high‑level project schedules into daily on‑site actions, acting as the bridge between the project coordinator and field teams to ensure CCTV, access‑control, structured cabling and network infrastructure work is properly resourced, permitted and completed on time.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑installation site inspections and commissioning checks with field engineers, identifying layout or readiness issues.
• Supervise daily activities of technicians, cabling contractors and hardware installers, ensuring compliance with approved schematics and client safety standards.
• Verify that all field crews hold valid site access permits, appropriate PPE and calibrated tools before deployment.
• Assist in building and updating project timelines, work breakdown structures and progress reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation of materials, permits, and client communications throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Diploma in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in security or ICT installation projects.
• Ability to coordinate multiple job sites simultaneously while maintaining detailed paperwork.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with clients, contractors and internal teams.
