Assistant Relationship Manager – Commercial

About the role

The Assistant Relationship Manager – Commercial supports the Relationship Manager in managing a portfolio of commercial clients, driving business development, and ensuring risk and compliance standards are met across the Coast region.

Key responsibilities

• Act as principal point of contact in the Relationship Manager’s absence and develop relationships with key individuals in customers’ organisations.
• Support business development by researching new prospects, coordinating introductions, and tracking leads.
• Maintain customer information in internal systems, drive digitisation of services and monitor service quality against Net Promoter Score targets.
• Conduct customer due‑diligence, assist in credit application preparation on the CCRS platform and coordinate facility reviews and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with risk, governance and regulatory standards, and contribute to portfolio risk monitoring.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or related field; additional professional qualifications are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years experience in commercial banking, credit structuring or relationship management.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage a portfolio of commercial clients and stand in for the Relationship Manager.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with CCRS credit application system.
• Proficiency in digital banking channels.
