Assistant Residential Manager (Otsego Region)

About the role

The Assistant Residential Manager supports the Residential Manager in creating a safe, supportive, and serene living environment for adults with developmental disabilities. Working on‑site in the Otsego Region, you will mentor staff, coordinate resident activities, and ensure high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise support professionals alongside the Residential Manager.
• Plan daily resident schedules, lead weekly meetings, and coordinate outings.
• Oversee documentation, shift reports, and medication management processes.
• Provide direct care, including medication administration and assistance with medical appointments.
• Serve as mentor for new hires during their first six months.
• Maintain on‑call oversight during work hours and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred; required for Golisano Program).
• At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and lift 50 lb independently.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate Springbrook vehicles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
