Associate Professor - Cognitive Neuroscience

About the role

The University seeks an Associate Professor to lead teaching, research, and service activities in Cognitive Neuroscience. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community, mentoring students and contributing to the university’s scholarly reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Cognitive Neuroscience and related fields.
• Assess student performance through exams, assignments, and project evaluations.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Participate in curriculum development and program review to keep offerings current and marketable.
• Conduct independent research and publish findings in reputable journals.
• Engage in university, professional, and community service activities.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the department.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD or equivalent) in Psychology with a specialization relevant to Cognitive Neuroscience.
• Prior teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral level.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly publications meeting CUE standards.
• Registration with the Counselors and Psychologists Board of Kenya or other relevant professional bodies (preferred).
• Experience supervising postgraduate students is an advantage.
