Associate Professor – Forensic Psychology

About the role

The University seeks an Associate Professor to lead teaching and research in Forensic Psychology. This full‑time, on‑site position will shape undergraduate and graduate curricula while mentoring students in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess undergraduate and graduate courses in forensic psychology and related specializations.
• Guide and mentor students in academic, career, and personal development.
• Participate in curriculum design, program assessment, and accreditation activities.
• Supervise research projects, theses, and dissertations at all levels.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish findings in the field.
• Contribute to university service, professional bodies, and community outreach.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the institution.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD or equivalent) in Psychology with a focus on forensic psychology from an accredited university.
• Prior teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral level.
• Relevant publication record meeting CUE Standards & Guidelines (2014).
• Registration with the Counselors and Psychologists Board of Kenya or equivalent professional body.
• Experience supervising postgraduate students is an advantage.
