Associate Strategy & Governance Analyst

About the role

The Associate Strategy & Governance Analyst will support Karunguru Group’s strategic planning and governance processes. Based in Nairobi, you will work closely with business unit leaders and senior management to translate market insights into actionable strategies and ensure alignment with group‑level objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market, industry and competitor analysis to identify long‑term opportunities and risks.
• Develop long‑range strategic frameworks, business cases and investment analyses.
• Prepare board papers, governance reports and strategic presentations for senior committees.
• Design and maintain Power BI or Tableau dashboards to monitor KPIs and strategic progress.
• Collaborate with business unit leaders to gather inputs for strategic planning and communicate priorities across the group.
• Track emerging technologies, sustainability trends and regulatory changes, proposing risk mitigation and innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 36 months of relevant experience in strategy research, planning and governance.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize large data sets into clear insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for board‑level reporting.
