Audit Senior – Full‑time position in Nairobi

About the role

Russell Bedford Alexander & Associates is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their Nairobi office. The role involves leading audit engagements, ensuring quality deliverables, and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and conduct audit engagements in line with client expectations.
• Complete assignments within the budgeted timelines.
• Review audit working papers of team members before submission for review.
• Assess and test internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Draft management letters and recommend effective changes.
• Prepare and review tax computations, wear and tear, and other allowances as per relevant client sectors.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and support throughout the audit process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields.
• CPA or ACCA qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of audit experience, including at least 2 years as an Audit Senior.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and IAS.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Up‑to‑date on industry developments and regulatory changes.
