Banking Analyst – Project Finance (Nairobi)

About the role

The Banking Analyst supports the full project cycle for debt and equity transactions, from origination through implementation and monitoring. Working under the guidance of the operation leader and senior bankers, the analyst contributes to research, due diligence, financial analysis and post‑signing monitoring for investment projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of market information, financial performance data and background materials.
• Perform due diligence, including financial, market, integrity and policy compliance checks.
• Prepare and update financial models and projections to assess project risks and returns.
• Assist in designing technical cooperation assistance, drafting terms of reference and internal approval documents.
• Support communication with internal units, clients and stakeholders by preparing draft correspondence, presentations and follow‑up emails.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed on time, to high quality standards and in line with bank procedures.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a strong interest in banking and project finance.
• Ability to work effectively within a project team and follow guidance from senior staff.
• Excellent analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
