Business Analyst Associate Internship

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Business Analyst Associate to join our SPARK internship program in Nairobi. The role offers hands‑on experience supporting data‑driven decision‑making for agricultural market and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in collection, cleaning, validation and management of programme and research data.
• Maintain databases, ensure data quality, consistency and integrity.
• Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights for market assessments, value‑chain analyses and performance reviews.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, visualisations and interactive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and learning activities, including tracking indicators and preparing reports.
• Contribute to market intelligence gathering and research for agricultural sector studies.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, Monitoring & Evaluation or a related quantitative field.
• Strong interest in agriculture, agribusiness, development programmes or market systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R or SQL.
• Experience with data visualisation and dashboard creation.
• Familiarity with survey platforms like KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO or Google Forms.
