Business Analyst – Cost & Revenue Assurance

About the role

The Business Analyst – Cost & Revenue Assurance will analyse revenue streams and billing processes to identify and close revenue leaks, ensuring optimal cash flow for Telkom Kenya. Working within the Revenue Assurance Business Unit, the role supports both cost‑saving initiatives and revenue growth without impacting demand.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse revenue channels and billing platforms to detect and report revenue leakage.
• Conduct reconciliations between billing systems, exchanges and other data sources.
• Collaborate with technology teams to stay updated on industry fraud trends and emerging risks.
• Provide recommendations to business units for cost reduction and revenue optimisation.
• Test new products, services and systems for revenue‑assurance risks before launch.
• Maintain audit trails on provisioning platforms and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Educate stakeholders on preventing revenue leakage and obtain buy‑in for mitigation initiatives.
• Support the cost‑savings targets of the revenue‑assurance function.

Required profile

• Relevant commerce or technology degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a revenue‑assurance or similar analytical role.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CGEIT or CRISK are highly recommended.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite and accounting applications.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large databases.
• Knowledge of wireless billing and rating systems.
