Business Coach for CASHA Program (Baringo)

About the role

The CASHA Business Coach will support young entrepreneurs and small‑medium enterprises in the Baringo region, focusing on livestock and agricultural value chains. Working from Westlands, the coach will deliver business development services, mentorship and data‑driven guidance to promote growth and social inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one coaching and mentorship to youth‑run micro‑enterprises and SMEs operating in livestock and agriculture.
• Conduct market analyses, identify entry strategies and support clients in developing viable business plans.
• Collect, enter and analyse field data, turning insights into actionable recommendations for clients and program managers.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on business development, financial management and market linkage.
• Travel to client sites using a motorcycle, ensuring regular follow‑up and monitoring of progress.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture or Livestock.
• 3‑5 years experience working with young men and women, SMEs and value‑chain actors in ASAL regions.
• Proven track record delivering business development services and fostering inclusive growth.
• Resident of the county where CASHA is implemented.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with Salesforce (preferred).
• Mobile data collection and basic data analysis.
