Business Development Executive

About the role

Celcom Africa Ltd is looking for a high‑energy Business Development Executive to join its commercial sales team in Nairobi. You will own the full sales cycle, acquire new B2B customers and grow revenue for cloud‑based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy to meet revenue targets.
• Manage the sales pipeline, convert qualified leads and prospect high‑value accounts.
• Deliver technical, value‑based product demonstrations to prospects.
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and analyse account activity.
• Collaborate with customers on promotions, campaigns and solution design.
• Respond promptly to inquiries via calls, email, chat and social media.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive retention and referrals.
• Work closely with the technical team to ensure solution fit.
• Represent the company at industry events and generate leads.
• Prepare weekly sales progress reports.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 24 months of sales experience.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑based product delivery and B2B sales cycles.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
