Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth by shaping and executing sales strategies across logistics, air, and ocean freight. Reporting to the Head of Business Unit, you will lead market analysis, customer acquisition, and retention initiatives within a global network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a sales strategy for logistics, air, and ocean freight services.
• Analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, and create plans to meet revenue targets.
• Design and execute marketing campaigns from concept to delivery.
• Conduct market research and gather business intelligence to uncover new markets and customer needs.
• Maintain client relationships through performance reviews and feedback loops.
• Ensure compliance with internal operating procedures and regulatory standards.
• Prepare, analyze, and present sales reports to senior management.
• Coordinate with customer service executives, agents, shipping lines, and subcontractors to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5‑8 years of proven experience in sales or business development within clearing and forwarding.
• Strong understanding of clearing & forwarding operations, regulatory compliance, and financial accuracy.
• Excellent communication, conflict‑resolution, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Demonstrated capability to influence and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
