Business Development Manager

About the role

Buysimu Technologies Limited is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive market expansion, merchant growth and customer acquisition across Kenya. The role focuses on expanding the company’s mobile phone and cash financing products through strategic regional initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new markets and growth opportunities across counties and towns in Kenya.
• Drive regional expansion strategies for phone financing and cash loan products.
• Conduct market visits to assess customer needs, market trends and competitor activities.
• Establish and strengthen Buysimu’s presence in assigned regions.
• Recruit, onboard and train new merchants and retail partners.
• Maintain strong business relationships with merchants, monitor performance and ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Generate leads, promote products and support customer onboarding activities.
• Track and analyze business performance metrics, preparing weekly and monthly regional reports.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 7 years of experience in business development, sales or related fields.
• Highly driven, strategic and results‑oriented with strong commercial acumen.
• Excellent field execution, relationship‑management and market‑expansion capabilities.
