Business Development Representative – FMCG

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Representative to drive growth of our FMCG portfolio across Nairobi and surrounding regions. You will be responsible for acquiring new B2B accounts, expanding distribution channels, and ensuring strong product visibility in premium retail environments.

Key responsibilities

• Secure shelf space and listing approvals in supermarkets, modern trade chains, health food stores, and pharmacies.
• Open alternative high‑volume channels such as gyms, corporate offices, school canteens, and the HORECA sector.
• Build and nurture relationships with category managers and procurement officers to maintain stock rotation and timely re‑orders.
• Ensure optimal product placement, merchandising, and point‑of‑sale visibility across all retail touchpoints.
• Monitor competitor activity, customer feedback, and pricing trends to provide actionable market intelligence.
• Meet and exceed aggressive monthly and quarterly sales volume targets.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of field sales experience within the Kenyan FMCG or Food & Beverage sector.
• Established network of contacts with procurement officers and buyers in major supermarkets and premium retail chains.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Fully flexible to travel extensively across Nairobi and surrounding regions.
