Business Operations Manager

About the role

The Business Operations Manager will lead the planning, budgeting, and day‑to‑day operational functions of The GAME School, a transdisciplinary unit within Arizona State University. This role ensures financial health, efficient procurement, travel coordination, student award oversight, and support for human‑resources activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage and monitor the school’s annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Prepare regular financial and operational reports for senior leadership.
• Lead strategic planning initiatives and identify process‑improvement opportunities.
• Oversee internal procedures including procurement, travel arrangements, and student award administration.
• Coordinate human‑resources functions such as staffing, onboarding, and employee relations.
• Maintain compliance with university policies and external regulations.
