Calibration Technician

About the role

SGS is seeking a Calibration Technician to coordinate and perform calibration of tanks and meters, issue certification charts, and ensure equipment maintenance across various sites. The role involves significant travel and requires adherence to health, safety, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled calibration jobs for tanks and meters and issue calibration certificates to clients.
• Maintain, calibrate, and manage inventory of all measurement equipment.
• Prepare risk assessments, job safety analyses, and travel management plans for the Health & Safety department.
• Handle invoicing for completed jobs and follow up on client purchase orders.
• Develop SMART work plans tailored to specific equipment and regional inspection needs.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• Experience in calibrating meters, tanks and other measuring devices.
• Basic knowledge of legal metrology and familiarity with local and international engineering standards.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
