Capacity & Demand Manager

About the role

The Capacity & Demand Manager is responsible for aligning production plans with customer demand, ensuring that materials are available when needed across multiple sites. You will collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales to drive accurate forecasts, manage capacity, and resolve supply chain issues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production and demand plans to meet customer requirements.
• Manage inventory, raw material availability, and capacity across several production locations.
• Monitor forecasts, identify shortages, and communicate daily supply chain priorities.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure a smooth end‑to‑end supply chain.
• Lead planning tools and systems, including SAP and IBP, and support monthly S&OP meetings.
• Prepare and present S&OP and mid‑term planning reports.
• Allocate products by balancing demand, capacity, material availability, and business priorities.
• Support supply‑chain improvement projects, product transfers, and new product introductions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field with at least 5 years of supply‑chain experience, OR high‑school diploma/GED with 10 years of experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑department collaboration.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make data‑driven decisions.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Proficiency with SAP.
• Experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or similar supply‑chain planning systems.
