Cashier – Customer Payments & Service

About the role

This full‑time Cashier position supports the Westlands branch of SureLift Solutions Limited by handling all customer payment transactions and providing friendly service. The role is essential for maintaining accurate cash flow and supporting daily branch operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process customer payments via cash, mobile money, card and other approved methods.
• Issue receipts and ensure every transaction is recorded correctly.
• Maintain accurate cash balances and reconcile daily sales.
• Attend to customer inquiries, offering professional and courteous assistance.
• Assist customers with product or service queries when needed.
• Prepare and submit daily transaction reports.
• Identify and report any discrepancies, shortages or irregularities promptly.
• Keep the cashiering area clean, organised and secure.
• Follow company policies, financial procedures and cash‑handling controls.
• Support other branch operations as required.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field (advantageous).
• Previous experience as a cashier, till operator or in a customer‑facing role.
• Strong numerical ability and basic accounting knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Honest, trustworthy and dependable.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet daily operational demands.
• Willingness to work in Ol Kalou.
