Cashier – Full Time

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Cashier to join our team in Westlands, Nairobi. The role involves handling daily transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring accurate financial records. This is a full‑time, on‑site position within a fast‑moving retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer payments via cash, mobile money, or card and issue receipts.
• Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily sales with accounting records.
• Maintain accurate transaction logs and submit daily reports to finance.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve payment‑related issues promptly.
• Follow company policies on cash handling, fraud prevention, and audit compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a cashier in a retail or supermarket setting.
• Strong numerical ability and high attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).
• Microsoft Excel.
• Microsoft Word.
