About the role
We are looking for a reliable Cashier to join our team in Westlands, Nairobi. The role involves handling daily transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring accurate cash management in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process customer payments via cash, mobile money, or card and issue receipts.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily sales with accounting records.
- Deliver courteous service at the checkout and resolve payment‑related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate transaction logs and submit daily reports to the finance department.
- Report any discrepancies or irregularities in payments immediately.
- Follow company policies on cash handling, fraud prevention, and audit compliance.
Required profile
- Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a cashier in a retail or supermarket setting.
- Strong numerical aptitude and high attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- QuickBooks (accounting software).
- Microsoft Excel.
- Microsoft Word.
