About the role

Join Sawari Hospitality Solutions as a Casual Waiter/Waitress in Nairobi’s Westlands district. You will deliver warm, personalized service to guests in a high‑end restaurant or luxury hotel environment, helping the brand meet international hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, manage seating, present menus and provide recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to kitchen and bar staff.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of menu items, ingredients, allergens and daily specials.
• Upsell additional items, suggest wine pairings and other beverage options.
• Ensure tables, chairs and dining areas remain clean and organized throughout service.
• Assist with banquet set‑up, arranging tables, linens and settings according to event specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in a restaurant or hotel with a hospitality qualification, or 2 years experience with a non‑hospitality qualification.
• Previous experience in a high‑end restaurant or luxury hotel is preferred.
• Exceptional guest service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of fine‑dining etiquette and service standards.
• Strong communication, teamwork and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
