Civil Engineer – Real Estate Projects

About the role

Jaysur Cognitive Management Limited is seeking a senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of civil works for its real‑estate developments in Nairobi. The role combines technical design, site supervision and coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and supervise civil engineering works for real‑estate projects.
• Prepare, review and approve engineering drawings, specifications and related documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality and compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal teams to drive timely project delivery.
• Track project progress, budgets and schedules, identifying and resolving technical issues.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental and statutory regulations.
• Produce project reports and provide technical recommendations to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in civil engineering within real‑estate or property development.
• Registered member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) and the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, construction regulations and project management.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
