Commercial Transactional Lawyer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Transactional Lawyer to join our international team remotely from Kenya. You will provide strategic legal support for complex commercial operations, drafting and negotiating agreements that drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier, service, licensing, distribution, partnership, NDA and joint‑venture contracts.
• Provide strategic guidance on commercial risks, contractual obligations and compliance with Australian laws and regulations.
• Support corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and reorganisations through legal due diligence and documentation.
• Analyze business strategies from a legal perspective and deliver practical recommendations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of commercial legislation, regulations and contract law developments.
• Translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable advice for non‑legal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial transactions, corporate law or a related legal field.
• Strong knowledge of Australian contract law, commercial regulations and business practices.
• Proven ability to draft, review, negotiate and advise on a variety of commercial agreements.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration with international teams and business stakeholders.
