Commi Chef I – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commi Chef I to support our kitchen operations. The role involves assisting in food planning, preparation and production while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie with daily food planning, preparation and production.
• Support stock control of food and beverage items, ensuring accurate inventory.
• Maintain professional standards of food presentation, portion control and hygiene.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the kitchen’s quality management system.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by senior kitchen staff.

Required profile

• Diploma in Food Production or Culinary Arts.
• Food Handler Certificate or equivalent food safety training.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in hotel or catering environments.
• Creative, self‑motivated with strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure, including shift work.
