Communications & Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Communications & Engagement Coordinator will support senior leadership in shaping and delivering clear, compelling narratives that advance the organization’s humanitarian mission. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate technical content into accessible stories for diverse audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare agendas, pre‑reads, briefings, talking points, and presentations for high‑stakes internal and external meetings.
• Coordinate inputs from department collaborators to ensure meeting materials are accurate and strategically aligned.
• Track action items, document commitments, and monitor progress after key meetings.
• Manage biannual Advisory Board meetings, including agenda‑setting, briefing preparation, logistics, and post‑meeting follow‑up.
• Develop and maintain pitch materials that showcase the organization’s value proposition to funders.
• Oversee the digital presence across web and social channels, using content management systems.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in communications, strategic engagement, or a related role, preferably in a research, policy, innovation, or humanitarian context.
• Exceptional storytelling ability with a proven track record of translating complex technical information for non‑specialist audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with senior leaders, subject‑matter experts, and cross‑functional colleagues across cultures and time zones.
