Communications & Media Associate – Internship

About the role

EAMDA is looking for a dynamic Communications and Media Associate to join its SPARK Internship program in Nairobi. You will support the creation and distribution of compelling content across multiple channels, helping to amplify the organisation's impact in agriculture and development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality content for social media, website, newsletters, blogs and reports.
• Draft success stories, case studies, beneficiary profiles and impact narratives.
• Produce multimedia assets such as videos, photos, infographics and podcasts.
• Implement the digital communications strategy and schedule posts on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and emerging platforms.
• Monitor audience engagement, manage online communities and prepare performance analytics.
• Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all materials.
• Assist in designing presentations, brochures, factsheets and other marketing collateral.
• Support event planning, promotion and documentation through photography and videography.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Digital Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Development Communication or a related field.
• Strong interest in communications, media, branding, digital marketing and the agriculture sector.
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling abilities.

Required skills

• Basic graphic‑design proficiency with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Basic video‑editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut or Final Cut Pro.
• Photography and videography basics.
• Familiarity with social‑media management tools.
