Construction Inspector

About the role

Statewide Engineering, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Construction Inspector for a full‑time temporary position on a heavy civil water system construction project in Pearson, Georgia. The assignment is expected to last approximately 18 months and will involve on‑site inspection of construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of construction work to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Document findings, prepare inspection reports, and communicate any non‑conformances to the project team.
• Verify that materials, workmanship, and equipment meet quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and engineers to resolve issues identified during inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and support project close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Prior experience in construction inspection, preferably on heavy civil or water infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality control procedures.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration on‑site.
