Construction Supervisor - Civil

About the role

The role involves direct on‑site supervision of all civil and structural works, from earthworks and foundations to superstructure and finishing trades. It includes managing daily activities of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality compliance, monitoring progress against the schedule, and resolving technical issues on site.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on supervision of civil and structural construction activities, coordinating multiple subcontractors and direct labour.
• Conduct continuous quality inspections, raise formal inspection requests, and ensure corrective actions for non‑conforming work.
• Champion health, safety and environment standards, lead daily safety walks, and enforce PPE and safe work procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily and weekly site reports, maintain a site diary, and liaise with engineers and surveyors to resolve technical queries.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher national diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field (bachelor’s degree advantageous).
• 10–15 years of hands‑on construction supervision experience on large‑scale projects, preferably with a major main contractor.
• Deep practical knowledge of construction means, methods and materials, especially formwork, rebar, concrete and site logistics.
• Expert ability to read and interpret complex civil and structural drawings.
