Consultant - Human Demography/Epidemiology

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant specialized in Human Demography and Epidemiology to join the World Agroforestry Centre in Nairobi. The role will support the Centre’s research and programme activities by providing demographic and epidemiological expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, analysis and interpretation of demographic and epidemiological studies relevant to agroforestry and rural livelihoods.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across research, policy and implementation units.
• Prepare technical reports, data visualisations and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support capacity‑building activities and knowledge‑sharing initiatives within the Centre.

Required profile

• Holds a university degree in demography, epidemiology, public health, social sciences or a related field.
• Fluent spoken and written English; proficiency in additional international languages is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams, preferably in a non‑profit environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to collaborative learning.
