Copywriter – Marketing & Communications

About the role

We are looking for a creative Copywriter to join our marketing team in Nairobi CBD. You will craft persuasive copy for a variety of channels, ensuring each piece aligns with the brand voice and drives engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop creative and persuasive copy for marketing campaigns, advertisements, brochures, flyers, newsletters and other promotional materials.
• Write engaging content for social media platforms, maintaining brand consistency.
• Create website content, landing pages, blog articles, product descriptions and email marketing copy.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales and design teams to produce integrated campaign materials.
• Adapt writing style, tone and messaging for different target audiences and channels.
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors and customer needs to produce accurate content.
• Proofread, edit and revise content for grammatical accuracy, clarity and brand compliance.
• Develop compelling campaign concepts, slogans, headlines and calls‑to‑action.
• Optimize digital content using SEO best practices to improve visibility.
• Monitor content performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Support employer branding by creating recruitment and internal communication content.
• Assist in scriptwriting for videos, radio ads and presentations as needed.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Public Relations, Journalism, Communication, Marketing or a related field.
• Proven experience as a copywriter, content writer or in a similar role.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to adapt style and tone for diverse audiences and platforms.
• Strong research and storytelling abilities.

Required skills

• SEO (search engine optimisation) knowledge.
