Custodial Crew Leader

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Custodial Crew Leader to oversee a team of custodial staff supporting a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures that all facilities are clean, safe, and maintained to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace and prioritize safety compliance.
• Train custodial staff in proper cleaning techniques and assign work areas.
• Inspect work regularly, hold staff accountable, and report any deficiencies.
• Perform heavy‑duty cleaning tasks such as floor stripping, polishing, carpet shampooing, and restroom servicing.
• Mix and apply cleaning solutions according to specifications and follow chemical safety procedures.
• Drive required vehicles (vans, trucks, ATVs, golf carts) to reach work sites.
• Report repair needs to supervisors and ensure proper documentation for EHS and QA.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of custodial experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work with multi‑national staff and demanding customers.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Valid driver’s license and passport with at least six months validity for international travel.

Required skills

• Operation of cleaning equipment and power tools.
• Vehicle operation (van, truck, ATV, golf cart).
