Custodian – US Navy Program Support

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Custodian to support a unique U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures that all assigned facilities remain clean, safe, and presentable for employees, visitors, and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace and comply with Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance standards.
• Gather and empty trash, clean and polish floors, furniture, fixtures, and restrooms.
• Vacuum, steam‑clean or shampoo carpets; dust surfaces, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners.
• Mix cleaning solutions according to specifications and use commercial cleaning equipment.
• Drive light vehicles (trucks, electric cars, gators) as needed for custodial duties.
• Report major repairs to supervisors and assist other maintenance sections during special projects or emergencies.

Required profile

• Experience performing cleaning duties in office or residential facilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain them throughout deployment.
