Customer Operations Associate – Tanzania

About the role

Turaco is expanding its operations to Tanzania and needs a Customer Operations Associate based in Kenya. You will be the primary point of contact for Tanzanian customers, handling inquiries, sales, and claims over the phone while ensuring a seamless experience.

Key responsibilities

• Explain technical product features and answer customer questions about Turaco’s insurance offerings.
• Register new customers in the database and perform data‑entry tasks as required.
• Handle inbound inquiries, provide accurate information, and ensure timely resolution.
• Engage at least 100 customers daily to upsell or cross‑sell products, following and adapting the provided sales script.
• Achieve sales targets and follow up on initial contacts to close sales.
• Initiate, investigate, and process insurance claims, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.

Required profile

• Strong verbal communication skills in English.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to meet or exceed performance metrics.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced call‑center environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
