Cybersecurity Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to join a global information services leader on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities across systems, networks, and applications to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive security assessments, including network, web application, and API penetration testing.
• Execute vulnerability scans, analyze results, and pinpoint security weaknesses.
• Develop and run custom exploits to validate risks and simulate real‑world attack scenarios.
• Document findings in detailed reports with remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to triage issues and verify remediation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret technical data and communicate findings clearly.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and Metasploit.
• Scripting expertise in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and tool development.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and common network protocols.
• Understanding of cloud security principles.
