Data Analyst - Business (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to join a global leader in software development and data infrastructure on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while delivering actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, process, and perform statistical analyses on large datasets to uncover trends and patterns.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that communicate key metrics and insights.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Generate ad‑hoc reports and visualizations to support decision‑making across departments.
• Validate data accuracy and consistency through quality checks.

Required profile

• Proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data processing and analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including functions and pivot tables.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of working independently.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
