About the role
The Africa Center for Health Systems and Gender Justice is seeking a motivated intern to support data collection, cleaning, and analysis for projects focused on women’s economic opportunity and health equity. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Westlands, Nairobi.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in designing and implementing data collection tools (e.g., Kobo, ODK).
- Perform data cleaning and validation using Excel, Google Sheets, STATA, R, or Python.
- Generate descriptive statistics and visualisations to inform research reports.
- Support the preparation of dashboards and presentations using Power BI.
- Document data processes and maintain organized data repositories.
Required profile
- Academic background in statistics, economics, public health, gender studies, data science, development studies, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in gender‑focused health and economic research.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
