Data Clerk

About the role

The Data Clerk will ensure that all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the company’s ERP system. Working closely with the Production, Procurement and Inventory teams, the role supports smooth material flow and helps maintain optimal stock levels for uninterrupted manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and maintain inventory receipts, issues, transfers, returns and adjustments in the ERP system, ensuring 99% data accuracy.
• Monitor daily stock levels, flag low‑stock items and assist the Inventory Supervisor with replenishment planning.
• Participate in monthly stock counts, reconcile physical stock with ERP records and report any discrepancies.
• Maintain and file Goods Received Notes, Stock Issue Vouchers, Transfer Notes and other inventory documents for audit readiness.
• Provide operational support to Production and Procurement by supplying up‑to‑date inventory information.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with at least one month of relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight data‑entry deadlines.
• Basic understanding of inventory or warehouse processes.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an ERP system for inventory management.
• Data‑entry accuracy and computer literacy (e.g., MS Office).
