About the role
The Deputy Head will support the Head of School in leading Oshwal Academy’s academic programmes and operational activities. This senior position plays a pivotal role in maintaining high teaching standards and fostering a positive learning environment for students and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Head of School in strategic planning, curriculum development and implementation.
- Oversee day‑to‑day academic operations, including timetabling, assessment coordination and staff scheduling.
- Lead teacher performance reviews, professional development initiatives and mentorship programmes.
- Ensure compliance with the Kenya TSC regulations and, where applicable, the British National Curriculum.
- Act as the primary point of contact for parents, stakeholders and external partners on academic matters.
Required profile
- B.Ed. degree in the relevant subject area.
- Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in the subject area.
- Registered with the Kenya Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Experience with the British National Curriculum is an advantage.
