DHC8 Captain – Commercial Aviation Pilot

About the role

ALS Limited is seeking experienced DHC8 Captains to join its fleet based at Wilson Airport, Nairobi. The role involves operating the DHC8 aircraft on domestic and international missions, often away from Kenya for periods of four to six weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute flight operations in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Prepare and submit accurate flight reports and operational documentation.
• Coordinate with ground crew and support teams to ensure safe and efficient flight turnaround.
• Lead the flight crew, providing guidance and maintaining high safety standards.
• Monitor aircraft performance and manage any in‑flight technical issues.

Required profile

• C208 type rating and multi‑engine/instrument rating.
• Valid Kenyan Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).
• Minimum six flight hours logged within the last six months.
• Gas turbine and Performance A rating.
• Willingness to operate away from Kenya for 4‑6 weeks at a time.
• Ability to operate two aircraft types (additional type rating provided by ALS at the individual’s cost).
• Commitment to a minimum five‑year service period with ALS.
• Diploma or Associate’s degree.
