Direct Sales Representative – Kisii

About the role

The Direct Sales Representative will drive retail growth for SBM Bank by prospecting new customers, selling consumer banking products, and ensuring a smooth account opening experience.

Key responsibilities

• Business Growth & Development – Identify retail opportunities, generate and follow up quality leads, sell and cross‑sell consumer banking products, meet weekly/monthly sales targets, and ensure compliance with account opening procedures.
• Relationship Management – Maintain strong relationships with key contacts at scheme companies, keep the scheme portfolio up‑to‑date, collaborate with business development teams, and attend service days and activations.
• Customer Service – Reduce customer attrition by providing solutions, handle complaints within agreed TAT, achieve required client visit numbers, and follow the bank’s escalation matrix when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum Certificate with at least 3 years of sales experience in banking, or a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of banking sales experience.
• Strong understanding of financial information, banking products, industry trends, regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets while ensuring compliance and high‑quality customer service.
