Direct Sales Representative - Kitale

About the role

The Direct Sales Representative will drive retail banking growth for SBM Bank in the Kitale area, focusing on acquiring new customers and promoting consumer banking products. The role combines prospecting, relationship management and customer service to meet sales targets and ensure a smooth account opening experience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect retail opportunities, visit potential customers and onboard new clients for the signed‑up scheme companies.
• Sell and cross‑sell assigned consumer banking products, generate quality leads and follow up to convert them into sales.
• Participate in product campaigns, meet weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets, and ensure compliance with account opening procedures.
• Maintain relationships with key contacts of scheme companies through regular calls, visits and service activation events.
• Coordinate with business development teams to uncover additional opportunities and deepen existing bank relationships.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints and escalations within the defined turnaround time to minimise attrition.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with a minimum of 36 months of relevant sales experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
• Ability to work independently, meet targets and adhere to compliance standards.
