Direct Sales Representative - Nakuru

About the role

The Direct Sales Representative will drive growth for SBM Bank by acquiring new retail customers and promoting consumer banking products across the Westlands area. This role combines prospecting, relationship management and customer service to meet sales targets and ensure a smooth account opening process.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect retail opportunities, onboarding new customers for the bank’s scheme companies.
• Sell and cross‑sell consumer banking products, generate quality leads and follow up to convert them into accounts.
• Participate in product campaigns, meet weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets and ensure compliance with account opening procedures.
• Maintain relationships with key contacts of scheme companies through regular calls, visits and service‑day activations.
• Handle customer queries and complaints, minimise attrition and follow the bank’s escalation matrix.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of financial information and banking products.
• Good knowledge of banking industry trends, regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Sales experience in banking or financial services.
• Certificate with at least 3 years banking sales experience, or Diploma/Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year banking sales experience.
