Direct Sales Representative – Narok

About the role

The Direct Sales Representative will drive retail banking growth by prospecting, onboarding and servicing new corporate customers within the assigned scheme companies. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring smooth account opening and delivering SBM Bank’s consumer banking products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new retail customers through systematic prospecting, visits and onboarding, contributing to 60% of business growth targets.
• Promote and cross‑sell consumer banking products, generate quality leads and follow up to convert them into sales.
• Participate in product campaigns, create awareness and meet weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Ensure compliance with account opening procedures and submit documentation for review.
• Maintain strong relationships with key contacts of scheme companies, conduct regular courtesy calls and visits, and keep portfolio records up to date (30%).
• Attend service open days and activations to handle customer queries.
• Minimize customer attrition by providing solutions, handling complaints within TAT and following escalation protocols (10%).

Required profile

• Excellent understanding and interpretation of financial information.
• Working knowledge of bank products and services.
• Good grasp of banking industry trends, regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Sales experience in banking or financial services.
• Education: Minimum Certificate with at least 3 years banking sales experience, OR Diploma/Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year banking sales experience.
