Direct Support Professional – Norwich Region

About the role

Springbrook is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join its team in the Norwich region. You will work with adults and children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live more independent and fulfilling lives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and community outings.
• Promote choice, independence, and safety while providing protective oversight.
• Support clients in educational, residential, and community settings.
• Follow Springbrook policies and state regulations to ensure a safe environment.
• Adapt to flexible schedules, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and mandatory overtime.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle‑driving requirements.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
• Willingness to be reassigned to other locations based on business needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
