About the role
The Disbursement Accountant will support Africa Global Logistics Kenya by managing and reconciling disbursement accounts, ensuring accurate cost recovery for client projects. The role requires a diploma or degree in a business‑related field, CPA Section II qualification, and at least two years of experience in a disbursement office.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze accounting balances of files in disbursement control and coordinate corrective actions for under‑ or over‑recovery.
- Prepare vouchers to reallocate mis‑posted costs to the correct control accounts after approval.
- Produce and present weekly reports on file analysis progress and cost recovery status.
- Identify “alive” files, liaise with COMs for archiving files older than three months, and prompt recovery of disbursed monies.
Required profile
- Diploma or associate degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
- CPA Section II certification.
- Minimum two years of experience working in a disbursement or financial control office.
