Draughtsman Position

About the role

The Draughtsman will join Kingdom Precast Solutions in Westlands, Nairobi, to create accurate structural drawings for precast concrete products. Working closely with the Design Engineer and Factory Manager, you will ensure that all documentation meets project requirements and production capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed structural and layout drawings for precast beams, blocks, and supporting elements based on inputs from the Design Engineer.
• Prepare shop drawings, reinforcement details, assembly plans, and connection details for factory production and site installation.
• Develop general arrangement (GA) drawings, sections, and details for client submissions and approvals.
• Collaborate with the Design Engineer to verify that drawings reflect accurate structural intent and comply with design specifications.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, or authorities and coordinate with the Factory Manager to align drawings with casting capabilities.
• Maintain organized drawing registers, ensure version control, and assist in preparing drawing packages for client and site teams.
• Verify that all drawings meet company drafting standards, local building codes, and project‑specific requirements.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 2 years of experience in technical drawing within the construction sector.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, clients, and production teams.
• Attention to detail and strong understanding of structural documentation standards.
