Driver Guide – Luxury Safari Experience

About the role

The Driver Guide is the face of the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, combining expert driving with storytelling to create unforgettable wildlife and nature experiences for guests. This role blends safety, hospitality, and environmental education in a luxury safari setting.

Key responsibilities

• Transport guests safely to and from safari locations, game drives, and hotel facilities.
• Provide engaging interpretation of wildlife, ecology, and local culture during excursions.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform basic checks, and ensure proper functioning of safety equipment.
• Act as a host and ambassador, delivering warm, professional service and addressing guest needs.
• Coordinate with hotel staff and guides to align itineraries and ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Respond to emergencies, administer first aid if required, and follow all safety protocols.

Required profile

• Valid Kenyan driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in safari or luxury hospitality driving.
• Strong knowledge of local wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation practices.
• Excellent communication skills and a personable demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.
